AZUL MAYA
In collaboration with: Katia Garduño, Maria Ruan & Nicolás Rangel
Located in the beautiful Polanco, the project contains a mixed use of housing, cultural, social and recreational activities.
The program includes a museum, an outdoor market, artistic workshops, an edible garden, a dance salon, a library, an outdoor theater, a pool, a spa that specializes in physiotherapy, as well as multiple gardens and green terraces.
Housing is divided into three towers, all of which are located in different corners of the project in a way that they interact with the diverse program that lies within it.
In the ten floors that are found above ground as well as three below ground there exists a mixture of architectural elements, all of which coexist with each other to create complex geometries and spaces that inspire interest. These geometries include inclined walls, staggered and interlocking slabs, the use of arches and vaults, curved walls as well as double, triple and quadruple heights.
The intention of these elements is to create a unique experience of sensory stimulation for the user as well as an environment that promotes creativity and optimism.
